GREENS TIME! How to catch the spirit, be creative, and laugh a lot...while getting ready for Artisan's Alley this year.


Garden Spot of Beauty: Every month in Coronado, a colorful, well-designed and maintained  commerical area is selected. A certificate is delivered to the business and a notice with a photo is sent to the Coronado Eagle & Journal.

The Bridge and Bay Membership supports California Garden Clubs, Inc., Palomar District, Japanese Friendship Garden Society, San Diego Botanical Garden Foundation, and the San Diego Floral Association

Coronado Floral Assn:
B&BGC participates in the Flower Show.   We award the Bridge & Bay trophy for the Best Miniature Floral arrangement and award a silver trophy for the Best Plant in the Junior Section. We donate $300 to the Coronado Floral Association.  A donation of $500 was given for the Children's Nosegay Booth and the Club provides flowers for the children to create nosegays.

Coronado Library: A book is purchased in memory of each deceased member.

Coronado Band Boosters:  A donation of $230.00 is made for the Artisan's Alley table.

Coronado Senior Assn:  The membership donated a bench at the cost of $1400.00 to the Senior Center.

Sharp Coronado Hospital and Villa Coronado: The Club provides flowers each month and for special occasions.

Fourth of July Parade: The Club makes a $50 donation and usually enters a float in the parade. In 2007 the Club entry won second place for a theme float: "Go Flamingos!"

Penny Pines: The Club contributes to the US Forest Service so they can replant land scarred by fire in the Cleveland National forest.  Over the years, we have accumulated 47 certificates, one certificate for every $68 donated, totaling $3128. In 2010, we donated $204 for a total of three acres of plantings.
